Chef de Partie

Jack is from a small town in Texas called New Braunfels. Growing up on two rivers, Jack learned the value of hard work, family, and friends. He is always ready for the challenge of the day and approaches everything with a stellar attitude! When not working Jack is an avid baseball fan who loves to fish and be outside.  

Jack has always been around homemade meals since being little. He is especially fond of the “farm-to-table" experience of hunting deer, having them freshly processed and then preparing them straight to the table. His earliest memories are of him helping his Mema with dinner and helping his family around the farm he grew up on. His favorite place to be is at a local meat market after a long day of fishing. If you want to win his heart all he needs is jalapeno, garlic dried sausage.  

For Jack food isn’t just about eating: his passion stems from the sharing and preservation of culture. This lesson was taught to him at a young age and can be reflected by his personality each and every day.

Jack started at Sweet Basil in August of 2022 and became Chef de Partie in April of 2025. Some might remember his older brother Chef Cole from his time as Sous Chef at Sweet Basil.
