Location & Parking

Where are you located and how do I park?

Sweet Basil is located in the heart of the vail village at 193 Gore Creek Drive. Vail is a pedestrian village, and no parking is available at the restaurant. To access the public parking garage head east for approximately 1⁄4 mile on the south frontage road from the main vail roundabout at exit 176.Proceed past the Solaris building, which is private and more expensive and on to the Vail Village transportation center and parking garage. Parking fees vary throughout the year, but parking is always free after 3pm. Please note there is no validation is possible from any business in town for parking. Once parked –exit the structure and over the covered bridge then take a right on gore creek drive. Proceed for another 100yards and Sweet Basil is located on the right just past the children’s fountain.

Do you have handicap parking?

For handicap parking, choose the vail road exit from the main roundabout at Exit 176. You’ll wind through on the road that heads toward Vail Mountain until you see the pedestrian village and the Checkpoint Charlie guard booth. Sweet Basil is located 50 yards from here. STOP at the booth and the officer will show you where handicap parking is located.

Reservations & Dress Code

How do I make a reservation?

Reservations are available one month (to the date) in advance and are STRONGLY encouraged at Sweet Basil.

The maximum party size 10 guests. Any groups larger than 10 can be booked as a private or semi-private function with a deposit and booking contract. We do not accept multiple bookings, all multiple reservations made for the same party will be acknowledged as individual reservations.

For dinner reservations, a $25 deposit per person is required for booking. The deposit will be refunded if cancelled up to24 hours in advance, otherwise refunded upon arrival for reservation. For lunch, a deposit of $10 per person is required for parties of 5 or more.
Please inform us of any party size changes prior to reservation.

*If you are experiencing any illness symptoms such as: fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny/stuffy nose, body aches, nausea, chills, or fatigue, please stay home - we are happy to reschedule your reservation.

Can you take large group reservations?

Yes! We have several options to accommodate private dining events. Learn more about large group reservations at Sweet Basil.

What is your dress code?

Smart Casual. Some guests dress up while others select a nice shirt or sweater and jeans. For your safety, we ask that you remove your ski boots in the winter before dining with us.

Is there a coat check?

We have a manned coat check available nightly during the winter season. During the busy two weeks over Christmas, our coat check is manned during lunch. All other times, the host will be happy to hang your coat in our coat room, however, it will not be manned.

What dietary restrictions can you accommodate?

We currently offer modifiable options from our available menus to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and other dietary restrictions. Those options can be discussed with your server upon arrival. We will try our best to accommodate all allergies but please note that we cannot guarantee that there will beno cross contamination with any allergen present in our kitchen.

Do you have a children's menu?

We offer a children’s menu for kids 12 years old and younger. When booking a reservation with children, please inform us if you will need booster seats, highchairs or room for a stroller so we can arrange proper seating.

Other

Can I bring my dog?

We love our pets as much as you do, however, we only allow ADA certified service dogs in the restaurant. Please inform us when booking that you’ll be arriving with a service animal so we can arrange proper seating.

Do you have gift cards?

Yes! Our gift cards are the perfect gift for that food lover in your life! Sweet Basil and Mountain Standard Gift cards are valid at either restaurant. Gift Cards can be purchased online and shipped for free or left at the host stand for the receiver. You can even send the receiver a personal message that we will hand write on a beautiful logoed note card and send with the card. Gift Cards will be processed within 48 hours. Order gift cards.
